MusiKid: For this Christmas

For this Christmas

Hello everybody! Hope you are having a ball and enjoying some Christmas/New Year and prepairing for the final night of the year to come. Well, me doing the same thing. Since we haven`t heard for a long time and I am still breathing, I am giving you some after-Christmas gift. I give you For this Christmas. I wrote this one while times got really rough for me and I felt every word I wrote. So since I`ve complained we have no song telling about the more realistic part of Christmas, here it goes. Go figure, I didnt know we will get it that soon:)
You could not escape anything that is meant to be, but I hope such verses as below will happen to you as less as possible. For those facing some of the the blue thoughts, I wish you all to carry the next year and all the others with somebody who will help carry it with you.

For this Christmas some will be lonely
For this Christmas some will be blue
For this Christmas some lights won`t be shining
For this Christmas some dreams won`t come true

For this Christmas some hearts will be stolen
For this Christmas some words won`t be new
For this Christmas some things will be broken
For this Christmas some won`t know what to do

Chorus:

For this Christmas
For this Christmas
For this Christmas
I`ll carry it with you

For this Christmas life won`t get easy
For this Christmas some prayers won`t see through
For this Christmas some tears won`t be drying
For this Christmas some eyes wouldn` move

Chorus

For this Christmas some phones won`t be ringing
For this Christmas some things would get too heavy to do
For this Christmas some will be waiting
For this Christmas
I`ll carry it with you

Have a peaceful year and I wish luck to you all!

Meeting up with: THEY SURE KNOW HOW TO CHRISTMAS

They sure know how to Christmas

What is the first thing you think of when someone brings the Christmas up? I mean, of course, it`s the tree, candies, Santa, turkey, snow (well the snow is falling down here so rarely that I put it on the fifth place)...  But what else?  For me, and I`m sure for many others of you out there, Christmas has to do something  with the Christmas spirit. And Christmas spirit goes with Christmas songs. I cannot imagine December without hearing carols for the whole month, prepairing me for »The Night« finally to come.  The older, the better, I guess, but even some new ones ain`t pretty bad. Hearing everything you need to know about snow, Rudolf who is taking Santa right to your chimney and great Santa guy who is then checking his list to get you some of your most wanted gifts, you`ve never expected to get, seem to be just fine, but I guess do not appeal to me anymore. Well, this is the moment, you`d practically say, c`mon girl, what is your problem? But yet, there are so many of such and they are coming to you so strong and with such intense, you buy it. You start believing it and if you don`t get to live like that, you better start, cuz otherwise you`de be called a freak. Capitalism or whatever this thing might be called has a great influence even on such primary and simple things as holidays. Christmas is one of the greatest achievements capitalism has done in the whole history. And I suppose it shall only get further.
So, to get down to it, before, I never wandered how it feels to be on the other side. I was happily sitting on my sofa in my (probably) red or green dress and some cristal jewelry, helping with the too huge dinner and watching our over-lighted and over-decorated house and killing myself for the whole December what to get anybody for Christmas. (Including running around the stores, complaining over the crowd and then thinking over and over again if that was really the right thing to buy for my mom etc.)  But as I grew older, the more and more I started to walk towards that other side. Or not to say I walked,  I even opened up the door to let it in. Not to mention some persons, who are my closest friends and do not celebrate Christmas at all, I also couldn`t imagine, how it feels to be when not everything is right on Christmas. I could say I`ve been there and I know how it feels, but when you listen to such Christmas spirit, advertised everywhere, I`ve mentioned before, Christmas propaganda working through the songs, I`ve never heard many songs about people, for whom the things we usually deal with durng Christmas time (and take them really seriously, such as gifts, how to make your turkey taste delicious, what to wear on new year`s eve etc) seem  the final thing to think about. But yet I did. I can`t remember when it happened and why, but I`ve always liked Lennon`s War is over.  This piece has always been and remains my favourite Christmas song ever. The melody is so simple, the vocal lines are so clear and yet the message is so strong. And when I hear the sound of the children, accompaining him in the chorus, I feel like yeah,« let`s hope it`s a good one«.  I feel so sad and yet happy. I know this one was written for special purpose during those years, but pacifistic message could be understood whenever and even wherever. It even has to do something with you or relations in your closest area, your family. Not reaching my favourite one, but still close to the top, comes Do they know it`s Christmas time at all. I like the idea Bono get to combine such great sound with charity purpose. And not only  this, the greatest value of this song it`s once again, in its message. Just to raise awareness. To tell people, somewhere outside our »safe«  (and as I could say »blind«) world  are people, who don`t even have the time to think of Christmas, cuz the »the greatest gift they get is gift of life«.  I like the cover of the album. It might be strong, but strong is what you need when trying to achieve something. This year, 20 years after Do they know it`s Christmas came out, some artists got together again and did the same thing. Bono was yet again working, but what might be funny is, that when I listen to the original, I know everybody, but now, I barely know few. (Well, my own problem, I suppose).
Just to say, for me, these people sure know how to Christmas. It might be far more easier to just enjoy the holidays when you have too much of everyhing. Even though such songs got popular, they might never reach the popularity of the ultra hits, providing exclusive Christmas spirit. Maybe for people don`t want to bother about problems in December, maybe because they have they own. But let`s just think. December and 24th of December are days as all the others. 24th might not feed a hungry man on the street, 24th might not wipe tears from one`s eyes, 24th might be the loneliest day for someone. On 24th not all people will be merry. And we might need a song for that.

Kid`s Pit: THE CHRISTMAS CAROL CONTEST

Kid`s Pit: THE CHRISTMAS CAROL CONTEST

The whole year, I mean the whooole year I keep waiting for this thing called December. And if you look closer, it`s not even the whole month, its one single day. Or one single evening, better said. And when you look even closer, it`s practically few hours I guess. And so, few minutes before midnight I catch myself thinking how this whole excitement just passed by like nothing and how I better get ready for another year if I don`t wanna get too depressed. That night used to be sleepless for the whole childhood of mine because in my mind there were so many questions like what Santa will get me that year and all. Now I sort of start feeling what this thing called Christmas used to be. I feel more and more like it has to do something with the family, having one peaceful dinner together, watching the snow outside (or even pretending to be so) and having fun while finding probably 1001st place on the tree to put some final pieces on the already over-decorated tree. I try to remember all the good things I`ve done past year and every moment that made me feel happy. And what I`ve also been doing for the past few years, is keeping list of (of course) my favourite Christmas songs. No, I didn`t get you some sweet moments from a romantic Christmas concert, but I present you my very own Christmas carol contest (15 songs I`ve chosen and 15 songs that seriously need to be part of your Christmas playlist).

We`ll be going from No. 15 to the top.

#15: It`s the most wonderful time of the year (Andy Williams)
Every time I hear it, in a second I have the whole melody in my head and Andy`s charming voice.

#14: Winter wonderland (Dean Martin)
Another Christmas vinyl, to keep you warm when probably some snow is falling outside and you are feeling warm next to the fireplace.

#13: Santa Claus is coming to town (John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie)
Probably a good thing to listen when waiting for Santa with some milk and  cookies.

#12: It`s Christmas time again (Johnny Matis)
Something raspier but yet very tender for Christmas Eve. But we just love such sound, don`t we?

#11: Do they know it`s Christmas (Band aid)
I  can`t imagine Christmas without this one. I love the old 1984 version, the whole idea of Christmas in a different, not so romantic version as we all have the perception. But my hats go off also to the this year cover about Ebola. Way to go!

#10: Rockin` around Christmas tree (Brenda Lee)
..at the Christmas party hop! Great for a Christmas party. Have a happy holiday!

#9: Mistletoe and wine (Cliff Richard)
When I feel this one it makes me feel like dancing. I love the melody and Cliff`s interpretation of this piece. Have a glass of wine and someone to take you under the mistletoe.

#8: Driving home for Christmas (Chris Rea)
Since I`ve literally tried how it feels to be driving home for Christmas, I love Chris`s raspy voice in the way he makes this song a bit melancholic.

#7: Last Christmas (Wham)
I know, I know, you`re gonna say this one it`s been played so many times, but if reconsider, there is no Christmas without it. I think in a few years it might even beat Jingle bells. Just kidding, but anyway, I can`t feel Christmas untill I feel the intro and George`s first tones in this one.

#6: Thank God it`s Christmas (Queen)
Hell yeah, thank God for Christmas so the Queen did this great song. I their own style, this piece is a proof Christmas song could be done with more like rock notes.

#5: Carol of the bells
I love all the versions, all the singers no matter what, as long as it keeps those crescendos and minor chords. (I bet you already figured it out that I like more melancholic Christmas songs)

#4: Have yourself a merry little Christmas (Judy Garland)
Once I read someone classified this song as one of the saddest Christmas songs ever, but I think this could be the whole point of it. There are too many over sweet cliche songs for Christmas.
 This one is astonishing.
AND HERE WE GO! READY FOR TOP 3?

#3: Chestnuts roasting on an open fire (Nat King Cole)
I cried when I heard it for the first time. This slow rhytm and the melody make it so hearable, I wanna play it over and over again.

#2: White Christmas
Even if it ain`t white, this one makes us believe. There are only two verses of this song (of still unknown author) and a jazzy melody and that is why this will be classic of all times.

#1: Happy X-mas (War is over) (John Lennon)
My favourite since I was really a Kid. The accompainment done by choir, the melody and its message are making it so special, it will always remain on the top of the lists.

MusiKid: The River

MusiKid: The River

Howdy guys! I was about to put up here some cover, but I decided to share with you one of the songs I wrote. I`m that kinda person who has to sing the way I feel and nothing else goes along. Just the way I want to and it`s the best way to control myself and then even let it out. And this is how I feel. Sit down, lean back, lay down or whatever you like and here it goes.
This one is called The River.

Here we go
F
My old friend
C
Here we go, come again
Dm
And I think
B
We`ll never
C
See again
F

Here we go
F
We lost our hands
C
And I don`t know
B
If I care
C
We`ll never be the same
B
again
F

Chorus
And we`re standing by the river
F
On the opposite sides
C
And we are looking in the mirror
B
Just how river flows by
C
We keep standing by same old river
F
But the opposite sides
C
And we wonder what this river
B
Brought and took from our lives
C
Yeah we wonder what this river
B
Brought and took
C
From our lives
F

I don`t know
How it went
Now you lost my name
I`ll never love again

We were so close
But I let you go
I was affarid, I hit the road
I`ll always be alone

(I put some guitar chords..it`s simple, you can give it a try)

Howdy everyone! How you been doin` lately? Well, I know your favourite Kid is back again with some fresh stuff to introduce you to. While we`ve been working on some pop/GM/Elton John and all stuff, I didn`t really get idea, what to put on blog. Then watching Freedom 90 again, I got a clue watching all those models. What I wanted to present, was image of these models, some 90s fashion all together put in this time. Well, sometimes the clothes do make the man.

Meeting up with GUYS OF DISGUISE

The guys of disguise

Hello everybody! Thanks for stopping by to check up on the Kid. As I`ve announced at the beggining of this month, we`re gonna make a little twist in our music machine and for a change, flow with the pop music. I managed to remember details from GM concert to serve them up here for you and to continue, I am about to meet some pop artists I respect and feel as very influent, with full of material to discover.

George Michael, who was declared as one of the greatest pop artists ever due to his vocal range and extremely sensuous way of presenting his music to public. That is why almost everybody loves him. I mean, come on, ask around, if they at least don`t love him, they sure know him. His lyrics tended do depict love purely. We have sweet romantic love as in I remember you, then we move on to some more sexually orientated lyrics, provocative as well as talkative (starting with the title of the song)  like I want your sex, Fast love and many different but from the same branch-love that ended up badly. But what needs to be reflected here is, these lyrics seem to provoke your empathy. If you happen to face a similar experience as George, you really get a clue what the man is talking about. The more you listen to it, the more you`re into it. When I first listened to Careless whisper I suppose I was around 8. We used to have this radio station, man I don`t even remember the name, anyway, they used to keep the saxophone intro (now I`m sure you got it in your memory somewhere  and you`re already whispering it to yourself right now.  And still convinced GM ain`t your type?) for the opening of their evening news or something. Well it kept playing in my head over and over again and suddenly I heard the whole piece on the radio. The result? Go figure! I was astonished. I`ve never heard such voice before. Due to my age, I was not especially into this way how to put the music to evoke people`s emotions and so on, but I was already aware he knew how to sing it so good, I kinda knew he`s been talking about (well not exactly, I figured it out some years later), but anyway, I was already a fan. Similar story but with different aspect is Sir Elton John, who is also very famous for his emotionally-filled songs. Your song would never turn out to be so famous if there won`t be love described in so simple way, one could only wonder, why didn`t he use the same words himself to tell how he loves somebody. Both of these artists took part especially for this reason on Freddie Mercury tribute concert 92.
John, whose songs might be described as a bit more light as Michael`s (not comparing to the songs of Wham, but solo career), are also depicting emotions as they are, without any decorations. As heard in timeless heartbreaking classic Sacrifice (which I dare to compare with GM`s Careless whisper). The music gets into your ear, the melody is simple, but yet not too much so we shall not leave it to underestimation and the extra plus is his accompainment on the piano. What needs a special attention is The Lion King soundtrack and also the masterpiece dedicated to the princess Diana. I might declare myself as The Lion King (kinda) fan(atic) for having at home this cartoon in 3 different languages and I used to know it by heart (the songs and all) so I don`t know if music has something to do with it or not. Anyway, The Lion King won`t be the same without this important part.

Now at this point I would like to put under spotlight one important thing, which both of these artists have in common and it`s not only Don`t let the sun go down on me. I am not here to be the judge of their sexual orientation, but, what interest me, and I have spent some time on this, is the way they present it. I know the 90s were the years we could not declare them as strictly conventional, but also not so liberal one for one to be coming out so easy. It`s not like some people say, it`s easy if you`re an artist. You just come there and say whatever you want and people will like you anyway. Well I think the situation goes in slightly different way. If you happen to be a famous, a really big one, it`s even more difficult to present people who you really are when they thought of you differently from your beggings. It ain`t easy for somebody to play the role just to achieve the recognition and pay the huge price of being wrongly understood as somebody else. Especially when we talk about such intimate topics as sexual orientation. What I tended to notice is GM put special attention to his extremely macho performance back then. Even during his Wham years, both him and Ridgeley tried to act like normal straight guys, chasing after girls (what I have in mind is Tropicana club) and trying to be cool. Then he decided to present himself in kinda rock-macho look for Faith (leather jacket, guitar, ripped jeans and beard). Not macho enough? He added some supermodels,  good-looking girls, who were at the top of their career, in the Freedom 90 and Too funky. In Father figure and Careless whisper he still tried to give the impression of the great lover. Elton John tried it differently. He chose men and women actors to depict the story going on in the song, while he was only starring in some singing parts. And now imagine all those videos telling the truth. Would you still be a fan? Would you still like If you were my woman if you would hear if you were my man instead?

But they both did it. They came out under the public eye, with the great chaos, pomp or how you want me to call it. And they maintain their success. One of the really cool songs is Outside, having some funny details from his unfamous incident hooking up with the undercover cop. What got out of this was interesting song and a really cool video with dancing scene right in the public bathroom (where the scene happened). When he admitted his homosexual orientation he started to be really opened about very personal questions (also about Anselmo Feleppa and his other relationships with men, going on pride parades etc.). Elton John took another step by marrying David Furnish and adopting two kids. And yet, gay man who admitted he slept with so many man prostitutes he is lucky not to be having aids, remained a important persona in the music industry, due to his special outfits and remarkable glasses. So to conclude, the music remained. The fame is still here even though maybe some of the fans gave up on them. I ain`t surprised, you don`t have to sleep with the guy. If you like it, you listen to him, if not go find another one. No matter how the persona stays big, what really matters to me, might be something more than a video with love story of two people of different sex.

Kid`s Pit: WILL REMEMBER YOU

KID`S PIT: WILL REMEMBER YOU

It`s been three years since the last Symphonica`s concert just before George Michael`s struggle with disease got him from stage for a long time.
First-account report from George Michael`s Symphonica 2011 Zagreb show.

Will remember you

Red velvet curtains. Shining black Armani suit. Dita waving from her champagne glass. Johnny Matis, Nina Simone, Rufus Wainwright, Elton John, Amy Winehouse… They were all there along with the 41 members of finely tuned symphonic orchestra. They were all there along with 12.000 people who came to the sold out treat of the man with the silky voice, unforgettable smile and with pair of sunglasses.

»Good evening, Zagreb! I `m here for the first time and I like it very much,« was only the grand opening of the show, which was overall very emotional. George Michael visited Arena Zagreb on 20th September 2011 to present another aspect of his music soul to his supporters and fans. In his over-two-hour show soon after the first tones the artist of Greek-Cypriot origin proved he is still using all of his well-shaped vocal range and his energy on stage. The performance looked and sounded mostly like a well prepaired theatre show where the main protagonist is showing the story of his life and is accompained by some of the finest musicians and backvocalists.

Tears, energy and cabaret

George, who is very well known for sharing his feelings with fans, sang some of his greatest hits, among Cowboys and Angels, Kissing a fool, Understand and also Where I hope you are. The last one was dedicated to his long term partner Kenny Goss, with whom he separated recently. Michael stayed on the large stage in complete darkness and said it with such feeling as he said »This is for my mother« before singing You have been loved. One could feel he is standing next to him and like he is talking to you, telling his story and waiting for you to say how you feel about it. It appeared to be more like private club cabaret and especially not like huge sold out performance. Even the visuals appeared to be so, the stage was covered in red, white or blue tones, once in the background the moon and the stars were shining and in the next moment, there was a picture of Dita doing her champagne glass show. Just the way the whole event was more like theatre show, sometimes sad and sometimes powerful and energetic, the visuals reflected this temper of the gig.The first half of a concert was more pop-filled. Michael kept the audience filled with energy while he sang not only his greatest hits, but also the songs of the people he adored. This was wonderful news for the visitors, while they could enjoy themselves listening sounds of the incredible different-styled vocalists joined under the great sound of Michael. Some of the fans might be expecting more popular hits, but the others surrendered themselves to cover songs. Each and every ont of them was special and deliberately put in the great shape filled with his own style and emotions. Not only he knows how to make jazzy My baby just cares for me sound great and funny (especially for his And even Ricky Martin customed verse), his clear vocals sound amazing in different registers and his vibrato is so sensuous that John and Elvis are dead almost made everybody cry and it was not only for they met their doom, but Michael spread his sound deep in fan`s hearts so they could only imagine how the sound would be if the three would join on stage together. »I `ll be right back!« said Michael to break the applause and on the stage appeared the clock that was counting down 15 minutes when the artist would be back.

I`m your man!

After the pause, George introduced his covers of the evergreen classics including Wild is the wind and Roxanne, which sounded even more pure and profound from Michael`s lips than Sting `s. To put some older pieces aside, George showed his moves in different version of Rihanna `s Russian Roulette, which was a real surprise for the visitors. He also dedicated a part of his show to Amy Winehouse, who tragically passed away only few months before the show. Her Love is a losing game was accompained by huge images of her in the background. Finally, what what should not be missing, was the grand closing of more than spectacular show. Praying for time was continued with Feeling good, where the musical accompainment with the brass section and percussion dictated the rhytm and couldn `t leave the visitors indifferent. George, who said, he liked the Symphonica `s fans the most of all, thanked them with encore-mix of Amazing, Wham `s I `m your man and Freedom 90. 48-year old Brit danced himself all around the stage and it didn `t take long before everybody was dancing.Michael had a taste of life. Just the way his friend Elton John put it, he got to know much of the sorrow and pain. He fought battles with himself and with the public, but his extroverted persona and love for music dragged more and more fans together. His music is eternal, just in the way his vocal will always remain as one of the best vocalists and especially the most emotional. Some of the lines may be difficult, but some may be simple, but neither matters. The only thing it matters, you hear him. Once you do, you won `t forget it. Just the way he said, he won `t forget Symphonica. Gently, with the most calm and sensuous sound he said goodbye along with I remember you.

MusiKid: Heartbreaker

Hi everybody! I just felt like stopping by cuz it turned out to be Monday and the right time for the next post to be done! I know I promised you the cover, but I`ve decided to postpone it (only untill next month), but anyway I didn`t wanna leave you without anything. So I am putting this song here for you, not to only review and comment things up here, but to do something of my own.

Ladies and gentlemen, this one is called Heartbreaker

Chorus:
You said you`ll come back for me
And I can still hear you smile
I`ll always like the way you called my name
If only God would give us time
And if you won`t love me, that`s just fine
It`s just one thing I`ll keep in mind
It`s just one thing left behind

But you want no change
Amd you got no love
And you got no heart
And I forgot to love

I miss our late night talks
I knew it`s over when you didn`t say goodbye
Can I love you like I did before?
Will I ever know it wasn`t all a lie?

I gave my oath to my old man
New life I gave it a try
Tried to love him as best as I can
I broke your heart and you broke mine

Chorus

You were my down, you were my top
When you left I lost my mind
I`ve never said it right out loud
My love for you has never stopped

The bullet got right my heart
You`ve cought the last butterfly
I`ll resist, I`ll never give up
I thought this was my paradise

But you want no change
Amd you got no love
And you got no heart
And I forgot to love

And when I`m coming back from my faraway land
With my black hat and suitcase too big for me
I`ll forget the words I got to say
But I`ll bring red roses on your cold grave

Meeting up with STEVEN TYLER

The Funniest Demon with biggest mouth

I learned playing piano from him, he gave me singing lectures and I got a hint what I want my man to say to me when he is getting romantic. A Demon or not, this papa is sure talented, charismatic and one of a kind.

First, we gotta clear things up. Why the hell is he called Demon when I could probably refer to him as the funniest guy I ever got to meet? Why is he supposed to be adressed as Bad boy, when one could only think of him as a sweet grandpa with sense of humour and funny (i.e. maybe a bit weird for some taste) haircut? And how could this guy be toxic, when he only loves rock 'n roll? Cuz he's mr. Steven (f-ing) Tyler!

Tyler has contributed a great part to rock music. To compare him to Jagger would be slightly exaggerating, but yet, let's give him the official title the guy deserves, he could be pointed out as the leader of the greatest american rock n' roll band, one of the greatest rock singers of all times and a man of huge vocal range. Not huge enough for you? I mean have you heard the highest tones in Dream on? His age is in this place a huge advantage for him (otherwise someone else would beat him and take over this highly estimated title himself)  and just beacause Tyler was fast enough to establish his own perspective of rock music, when people were only getting to know there is something called rock 'n roll out there and there is nothing wrong with a guy to wear long hair and tight leggings with leopard print.
What Tyler needs to get credit for is also nurturing many singers who were about to take over the cowboy culture, step into their own snake boots and tried to scream as the Demon of does himself.  Tyler, as said, was a fan of Jagger and looked up to him, while he later became role model for William Bruce Bailey, someone we also know for screaming, running around shirtless, the guy who sure knows how to rock (in any kind of way). Yeah, this Billy guy is better known as Axl Rose. He stated he didn't want look up to any other guys who were in this business and got pissed when Stanley from Kiss once said younger Rose is copying some of their music and signing his name below. No wonder Rose sent him to hell (using his kind well-known jargon) while Kiss music and Guns were never connected with nothing more than just they are both members of one big same old rock n' roll family. Anyway, Rose stated the only music, that appealed to him and he felt familiar with, was the music from Steven Tyler. And here we go to Aerosmith again.

It might be MrTallarico from Julliard, who later on also contributed a small part to Dream on chords (while young Steven spent his time under papa's piano listening to those divine  low ringing sounds) whose fault is Steven being such a specific artist. Aerosmith's music always had special place on my playlist, especially because I could position their sound somewhere between too fast for blues, too hard for rock 'n roll straight up (or at least for the roots of rock ' n roll) and sleazy, honest and funny at one time. Imagine Walk this way. Man, Tyler not only has a great potential for taking his part in rap music, but sure the lyrics are so funny and descriptive, you got a feeling like you wanna learn them and sing around. The rhytim is precise and well put, while the melodies are easy to remember. Comparing to their British companions, the Stones, where there is only basic melody (consisting of few riffs), with Aerosmith there are more parts of a song. With What it takes I still think the bridge takes all the glory and is one of the best parts of this piece. Lyrics, as I could only put, are descriptive and yet at some point so romantic, I bet girls wanna cry. I mean how many men are about to tell you they were crying when they met you? Seriously.
Steven as multiinstrumentalist gives that impression during his music too. After listening, you get the idea he really thought it over and precisely decided what to put in his song and what not. Songs are practically enriched with many instruments, melodies and even the keys are not always just those basic ones. Famous for his harmonica, the piano is also what he really masters! Angel is one of a kind and I really like listening to it, because I feel like I'm listening to something between rock ballade with blues lyrics and high notes familiar with something like country. The songs of Aerosmith would of course not be same without the leading bad guy's specific vocal. The greatest thing he did was the day he decided he's gonna colour his voice. Also everything that went hand in hand during his career (i.e. he stated the blow took his Porsche, his plane and other valuable stuff) left traces on his vocal, but they fit into his style of music. He established raspy sound that sounds charming in the lower keys, but gets incredible power in higher. His technique of singing (that reminded me of what I've heard at Cobain and at some country singers) when he picks higher tones and sings them either with glissando or takes them and returns back to the basic melody are one of the best and the most significant I've heard. It's actually getting pretty popular because it's good to listen but damn hard to learn and got it into your blood to freely sing it like Steven.

The pronounciation of his is american all the way and you really feel like some old cowboy is talking to you. And so he looks like one. I could tell I ain't precisely a fan of his moustache, but whatever this 66-year old puts on, looks good on him. His style was always something special (as seen in Love in an elevator-remember those hot red tight pants?), but the same as he knows how to do the music, he knows how to dress up. Not to mention his stage apperances, making jokes, jumping around and having fun as the major point, people love it. The bad boy, toxic or anything else, he might be the sweetest Demon you've ever seen.
